Monte Limbara
Monte Limbara is one of the most captivating places in the hinterland of north-eastern Sardinia. This imposing mountain massif, which forms the natural boundary between Gallura and Logudoro, offers spectacular scenery among cork oak forests, wind-sculpted granite formations and trails surrounded by Mediterranean scrub.
Its highest peak, Punta Balistreri, reaches an altitude of 1,359 metres and offers an extraordinary view that, on the clearest days, stretches across much of Gallura, the sea and the La Maddalena Archipelago.
This experience is ideal for anyone wishing to discover the most authentic side of Sardinia, surrounded by unspoilt nature, silence and landscapes of rare beauty.
Monte Limbara extends across the municipalities of Tempio Pausania, Calangianus, Berchidda and Oschiri, making it one of the most fascinating destinations for trekking and nature enthusiasts.
