Lake Liscia

Lake Liscia is Gallura’s artificial reservoir, created in the 1960s following the construction of a dam on the river of the same name. It lies between the municipalities of Sant’Antonio di Gallura, Luras, Arzachena and Luogosanto.

A canoe excursion along the shores of Lake Liscia offers the opportunity to admire the area’s abundant natural beauty and its wonderfully unspoilt landscapes.

The lake is surrounded by holm oaks, centuries-old trees and ancient wild olive trees—some among the oldest in Europe, with an estimated age of around 3,500 years. The area is home to wood pigeons, turtles, mallards and purple swamphens, as well as several fish species, including carp, eels and perch.
